A Bremen High School teacher faces criminal charges, after he was accused of trying to seduce two of his students. WSBT-TV reports that Patrick Stroud, 28, allegedly sent messages to the girls on Instagram and had private meetings with them.
Court documents say he messaged a 15-year-old about going on dates and wanting a serious relationship. Stroud allegedly offered her rides and went to her house while she was home alone. He is also accused of rubbing a 16-year-old’s thigh in his classroom and asking for pictures of her. Stroud is not accused of any sexual contact.
He’s currently suspended from his job. Bremen Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim White tells WSBT-TV that school officials are taking the allegations seriously, but there’s a process they have to go through when it comes to Stroud’s future with the school. In the meantime, White says they are doing everything possible to give students the help they need.
Stroud has been charged with three counts of child seduction. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 15.
