U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was in Plymouth earlier this week, meeting with officials from David’s Courage and witnessing the handiwork of the countless volunteers who dedicated their time and efforts to restore the former Shady Rest Building.
In a press release about the visit, Red Door Marketing Owner Kerri Martin noted that Walorski was greeted by the David’s Courage board of directors on Monday and was given a tour of the facility.
Afterward, she sat down with the board to learn more here about the organization.
She was informed that David’s Courage will be a residential recovery program and transitional residency facility for men and women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction in Plymouth.
David’s Courage Co-Founder and Board President Gregg Erickson shared that they were honored that Congresswoman Walorski and her staff paid them a visit and noted that she offered words of encouragement, support and extended gratitude to them for the work they’re doing.
Walorski shared that she was grateful to the dedicated folks at David’s Courage for the incredible things they have planned to help Hoosiers on the path to recovery and noted that she’s also thankful for all they are doing to save lives and make communities stronger.
