An Indianapolis man who allegedly had PCP in his system was arrested following a traffic stop that occurred in Marshall County shortly after midnight this morning.
Around 12:20 a.m., Marshall County Dispatch sent out a call for a possible impaired driver on State Road 331, headed south from 4th Road. Bourbon Police Officer Matt Geiger located the vehicle in the area of SR 331 and 5th Road.
Following an investigation, it was determined that the driver, Brian D. Wade was reportedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. According to authorities, Wade failed field sobriety tests and was later found to have the presence of Phencyclidine (PCP) in his system.
He was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. Police report that since Wade has a previous conviction within 7 years, he was charged with a level 6 felony.
He was given a court date of Tuesday, September 3rd and his cash bond was set at $1,500.
