Bourbon Town officials are considering the potential of forming a Park Board.
Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger mentioned that the possibility is being discussed because it can help improve the chances of receiving grant funding for park-related projects. She noted that the funding agencies often regard the park as being its own separate entity.
Berger said one of the main projects they’re talking about tackling in the park is upgrading lights at the baseball diamond. She said the current ones have poles made of wood and they need to be replaced.
Nothing official has been decided and town council members are still in the early stages of these discussions. However, talks will continue at future meetings.
