Plymouth students who’ve struggled in a traditional high school environment will continue to have the option to attend The Crossing School of Business and Entrepreneurship. The Plymouth School Board voted last week to renew its agreement with the faith-based alternative high school for the coming school year.
“Just as a reminder, this is a separate organization that does provide some alternative education/dropout recovery services for students,” Superintendent Andy Hartley explained. “The overall arrangements are the same as last year, with an additional option, if needed, as it relates to career pathways. The funding structure and all that is still the same as we did this past year.”
For the past year, the school corporation has used a pay-per-student model. Previous agreements required the school corporation to pay for 15 seats.
In addition to sending students to The Crossing, the Plymouth Community School Corporation also runs its own alternative high school for students in Marshall County.
