The Bremen School Board has approved a contract extension for Superintendent Dr. Jim White. The agreement approved during last week’s meeting extends his employment through July 15 of 2022.
White says there are no major changes. “My annual compensation is at $102,700, which is where they had moved me to under the terms of my old contract,” he explains. “So this simply just takes that and moves it forward and says that Dr. White gets to stay employed for three more years.”
The contract also calls for an annual annuity payment of $3,000, as well as benefits outlined in the administrative handbook. It also gives the school board the option to pay White up to another $10,000 per year, beyond his specified salary.
In other business last week, White says the school board approved a number of new hires, as school officials prepare for the start of the new school year.
