A South Bend man was taken into custody shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday following a traffic stop by Marshall County Police.
According authorities, at approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 15th, officers observed a vehicle with its brake lights on stopped in the eastbound lane of U.S.6, just east of Queen Road.
Upon checking the vehicle, it was discovered that the driver, 30-year-old Casey Kantorowski, was allegedly intoxicated. He was reportedly offered standardized field sobriety testing and was transported to the hospital for a certified chemical test.
He was subsequently lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) with a BAC of .15 percent or higher, OWI with a controlled substance, OWI – endangering and possession of marijuana.
