Other than having to work around all the rainy weather in May, things have been going according to plan with the Lincoln Junior High School Building project.
Project Manager Derek Anderson told Plymouth school board members the inclement weather did result in them losing approximately 2-3 weeks of work time. However, he’s confident they have the manpower to make up for lost time. He also noted that that the project is still within budget.
According to Anderson’s report, crews have completed pouring the 2nd-floor steel for the two-story classroom wing and have continued to work on masonry bearing walls there. He said that the work on the facility will be a lot more apparent going forward.
He explained, “The next couple months, it’s going to be going pretty good. You’re going to see a lot more changes now that all these walls are getting put in.
Anderson added that once all the floors are poured within the next few months, the school board members are welcome to take a look around the facility.
Board members seemed excited about the opportunity to tour the site and to see the progress firsthand.
