Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Investigates Alleged Child Solicitation Case

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department obtained a complaint of an alleged improper communication through SnapChat back in May.

According to a press release from the MC Sheriff’s Department, the alleged interaction was between 39-year-old Raymond Grossman and a 14-year-old child.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the information and the facts gathered were turned over to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Division of Child Services was also contacted and provided assistance in the investigation. A probable cause affidavit was completed and presented to the Honorable Judge for review.

An arrest warrant was issued for Grossman for the Level 5 Felony of Child Solicitation. Heather S. Dare, age 38, was also issued an arrest warrant for the Level 6 Felony of Neglect of a Dependent.

The bond for Dare was set at $1,500 cash while Grossman’s is $25,000 cash.

Readers are reminded that alleged suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty without a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
