A Triton senior was among 10 Hoosier students involved in agriculture who received a Carolyn Hegel Memorial Scholarship from the Indiana Farm Bureau.
The $500 scholarship was awarded to Abigail Powell and the funds can be applied to tuition, housing, books and other educational expenses.
INFB 2nd Vice President and Chair of the Women’s Leadership Committee Isabella Chism said Indiana and the local community continues to benefit from the exceptional talents of young individuals who are choosing to pursue a career in agriculture.
She added that the Indiana Farm Bureau and their county chapters are pleased to help support the state’s youth in agriculture each year through scholarships like these.
