The Plymouth School Board will appoint a new member tonight. Board members have been interviewing candidates to fill the remainder of Larry Holloway’s term, which runs through the end of 2020. Holloway resigned from his at-large seat last month.
In other business tonight, the school board will decide whether to move ahead with seeking bids for upgrades to Plymouth High School’s heating and cooling system, consider a contract amendment with Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center for summer school nursing services, and review selections for curriculum content adoption.
Board members will also decide whether to sell a used band trailer to the John Glenn band program. The school board will hear updates on the construction of the new Lincoln Junior High School, as well as a legislative report.
Tonight’s Plymouth School Board meeting will be the first since residents overwhelmingly voted not to let the school corporation raise property taxes to help fund operations. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Plymouth Schools Administration Building.
