Marshall County’s Municipal Primary Election Results

Marshall County Clerk Deb VanDeMark and other election officials worked diligently to get the results from Tuesday’s Municipal Primary Election out in a timely fashion as dedicated poll workers brought in the machines from the County’s six vote centers.

One of the major take-aways was that the Plymouth Schools referendum did not pass. A total of 2,434 votes were recorded for the referendum question, with 875 ‘yes’ votes and 1,559 ‘no’ votes cast.

Marshall County residents also had a chance to vote on the contested mayoral race. Incumbent candidate Mark Senter and Ben Fisher were vying for the Republican candidacy. Senter pulled ahead, with a total of 528 votes cast in his favor compared to Fisher’s 247.
