The camp will feature multiple demonstrations including ones related to S.W.A.T Teams, police and medical helicopters, the bomb squad and the K9 unit. Campers will also be taught gun safety from an Indiana Law Enforcement Academy certified firearms instructor.

Officials note that the camp provides a meaningful experience and allows attendees to form lasting bonds with other campers from northern Indiana as well as deputies and police officers who serve as counselors and instructors.

The camp will be hosted at Potawatomi Wildlife Park in Tippecanoe. If students need assistance getting to the camp, Sheriff Matt Hassel will help make arrangements for a ride.

Interested individuals should get in touch with Deputy Travis Oneal through his email, travis@co.marshall.in.us or over the phone by calling the Sheriff’s Office at 574-341-4526.
