The Plymouth School Board is looking for a new member. At-Large Member Larry Holloway resigned Tuesday, according to a press release from Superintendent Andy Hartley. A new member is being sought to fill the remainder of Holloway’s term, which runs through the end of 2020.
To qualify, candidates must live within the Plymouth Community School Corporation boundaries, and have done so for at least the past year. They must also “possess all qualifications provided under state and federal law for a regularly elected governing body member filling the office.”
Those interested in the seat are asked to send a letter to the board explaining why they would like to be chosen to complete the term. Letters should be sent to Todd Samuelson and Andy Hartley at 611 Berkley Street in Plymouth by Friday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m.
The school board will interview nominees on Thursday, May 2, starting at 6:00 p.m. The new member will be chosen and sworn in during the May 15 meeting.
