First Phase of Sign Installation at Triton Complete, More to Come

The Triton School Board got a sneak peek at some of the new signage that’s been installed when members met Monday night.

Members approved this sign installation at their March meeting. The project was awarded to Descon, Inc at a cost of $7,000.

Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said the sign installation is not entirely complete but the first phase of the project has been finished up.

He explained, “There’s definitely more to come on the new building but this was in the hallways of the high school, all new emergency maps in the class rooms, and then a little bit nicer entry signs for our main gym, what we call the Trojan Trench.”

Some of the hallway installations at the high school include a “Triton Trojans – College and Career Bound” sign which includes a map that will display students’ post-secondary plans as well as a “Pride in Our Past” sign which will serve as a tribute to the three communities; Edna Green, Tippecanoe and Bourbon that consolidated to make Triton.

Other recent additions include a “Trojans Serving in the Military” sign and a sign recognizing “Triton Academic Award Winners”.
