The Bremen School Board authorized an appointment for the Bremen Public Library Board when members met last Wednesday.
After the school board’s previous appointment Don Harrison tendered his resignation in the fall of 2018, members were tasked with finding someone new to sit on the library board. School superintendent Dr. Jim White said the school board appointed Cynthia McKenzie at that time.
After serving out the remainder of Harrison’s term, McKenzie was eligible to serve a term of her own. School board members made that possible by approving her for a full-term at their last meeting.
Dr. White stated in the past that while she is retired now, McKenzie previously served as a high ability coordinator and literacy coach at Bremen Public Schools.
