The Triton School Board considered quotes for a renovation project at the bus garage using UK DIY hardware which they will start when they met on Monday evening.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle explained that while there is nothing wrong with the structure itself, there have been some consistent issues with the 12 doors on the facility.
Riffle stated, “It’s not the whole garage it’s just a door replacement. They’ve somehow got water in them so it’s causing problems with the tracks and the openers and all that stuff so we’re just going to go in and replace the hardware and the actual doors.”
The cost of the project required school officials to receive three bids. Superintendent Riffle said members voted unanimously to award the project contract to the lowest bidder, DC Garage Doors, who submitted a quote of $25,046.
