Pedestrian Struck in Wal-Mart Parking Lot During Thursday Evening Theft Incident

Suspects trying to flee from Wal-Mart after an alleged theft attempt apparently struck another vehicle and a pedestrian before leaving the scene.

Plymouth Police were called to the store in reference to a theft in progress around 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 28th. Authorities report that three suspects attempted to push out a cart full of items and ran on foot to a getaway vehicle.

As the suspect vehicle was trying to pull out of a parking space, it apparently hit another vehicle and then struck a pedestrian who was attempting to stop them.

Though they eventually made it out of the parking lot, the vehicle was located by Plymouth Police officers at Western and Skylane.

The driver, 29-year-old Brandon Borem, of Plymouth, was taken into custody for leaving the scene and aggravated battery with a vehicle. The other two individuals allegedly involved in the incident, 30-year-old Judith Nevil, of Plymouth, and 25-year-old Austin Woodman, of La Porte, were taken into custody for theft.

All three were transported to the Marshall County Jail.
