As the number of creative services like https://signaramafranchise.com/blog/what-it-takes-to-open-a-sign-printing-franchise/ that provide banners and signage is many, Triton’s campus will be revamped a bit, following the school board’s decision to approve the installation of some new signage.
When members met Monday, they awarded the sign project to Descon, Inc at a cost of $7,000. The company has been notified of the approval and Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said they’re expected to get started within the next month.
Riffle explained that the project will include the installation of several signs. He said they’ll be putting new emergency evacuation maps in at the High School, a polyvinyl sign with the school’s logo and some text near the entrance inside the building and a “Welcome to the Trojan Trench” sign near the ticket booth area in their main gym.
Riffle stated that a “Triton Trojans – College and Career Bound” sign will recognize students’ post-secondary plans.
He explained, “When students get their letters of acceptance to colleges, those are actually marked and they have some type of material to show the state or the college with the little college logo on it.”
Superintendent Riffle added that a “Pride in Our Past” sign will be created to recognize the schools’ unique history.
“We’re doing a tribute to the three communities, Edna Green, Tippecanoe and Bourbon that obviously consolidated.”
Riffle continued, “We’ll do the basketball court from each one of those communities just to try to say ‘Hey, we appreciate what it took to get to Triton and now here we are.’”
In addition to those signs, academic accomplishments will be recognized with a sign that will include the names of students on the honor roll and former students who go on to play athletics at the college level will be featured on a “Trojans at the Next Level” sign.
Superintendent Riffle mentioned that most of these ideas have existed in some form but officials just wanted to take action to get them done professionally. He noted that the signs will be amended and added to as time goes on.
