With the weather improving, many people may be looking to spruce up the area around their homes. Citizens of Bourbon have a chance to receive some financial assistance to do so with the town’s 50/50 residential sidewalk repair program.
When town council members met last Tuesday, they approved the program for 2019. Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger shared that the Town will be able to cover 50 percent of the cost of the sidewalk replacement and the applicant will be required to pay for the other half.
Berger noted that the program has a budget of $5,000 for this year.
