The 2019 Summer School program was approved by Triton School Board members when they met on Monday.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle shared what the high school’s summer school will entail.
He explained, “A lot of that is credit recovery and there are some classes for kids to take things that they couldn’t fit into their schedule.”
He added that things are a little different at the elementary school.
Riffle noted, “The elementary is typically a preschool and then K-3rd grade we are mandated to offer a third grade summer school because of IREAD 3. Any kid that doesn’t pass IREAD is mandated to receive remediation for that.”
Triton Summer School is tentatively scheduled for June 10th through the 28th.
