A potential plan that would help fund the Bremen Public Schools entrepreneurship program for years to come was discussed during last week’s school board meeting.
As a reminder, the school board approved the adoption of an uncharted learning entrepreneurship program last February. It has been implemented in various capacities at the elementary, middle and high school.
Superintendent Dr. Jim White previously shared that the goal behind the program is to plant the seeds of entrepreneurship into the minds of students early. He explained that it also provides an opportunity for older students to get involved with hands-on activities and engagement.
Todd Stuckman, the school board member who has been a major proponent for the program from the beginning, provided a curriculum implementation update when members met last Wednesday. He stated that it has been very well received so far.
Dr. White said that Stuckman also highlighted an effort to collaborate with another entity in the Town of Bremen.
He explained, “He’s also attempting to solicit funds from our Redevelopment Commission to place in trust at the Marshall County Community Foundation so that the proceeds off of that investment could be used annually to help fund the program.”
Dr. White emphasized that discussions with the Redevelopment Commission are still ongoing and that nothing has been finalized at this time.
