Quotes for the mowing service contract in the Town of Bourbon are now being accepted.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, the legal notice should be published in the paper this week.
She said that quotes must be submitted in the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office and added that they’ll likely be accepted until the council’s next meeting on Tuesday, March 12th.
Berger explained that in the past, they paid an individual to do the mowing but at the end of last year, the council members decided to open the contract up to see if any mowing services would be interested in the job.
The areas the bidders will be responsible for mowing include the town parks, the ball diamonds and the lawn around the Matchett Center.
