The month of March will feature a few different opportunities for parents of incoming preschoolers and kindergarteners to see what Argos Elementary School has to offer.
In preparation for the 2019-2020 school year, Argos Elementary will be hosting Preschool Round-Up on Thursday, March 7th from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
During the event, Preschool children will go through a screening to determine their placement. Argos Elementary offers both a half day Preschool class and a full day Pre-K class but spots are limited, so if you’re interested, you’ll definitely want to attend.
The Kindergarten Round-Up will be held a little later in the month on Thursday, March 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Incoming kindergarten students will go through a short screening process as well. For a child to be eligible for kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year, they must be five years of age on or before August 1, 2019.
Parents that are planning to attend the Round-Ups, should be sure to bring along a birth certificate, immunization record and social security card. Copies will be made of the original documents.
Superintendent Ned Speicher noted that the cost to enroll is determined on a sliding scale, based on whether the family qualifies for free or reduced lunch. However, no money will be collected at these introductory events.
