Travel Advisory Put in Place in Pulaski, Starke and Marshall Counties

As of 5 p.m. CT (6 p.m. ET) a Travel Advisory was in effect in multiple Indiana counties including Pulaski, Starke and Marshall.

As a reminder, a Travel Advisory is the lowest level of alert issued.

It means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.  The Department of Homeland Security represents a Travel Advisory with the color yellow.

Travel status information is communicated to the DHS through local Emergency Management Agencies. As the weather conditions change, it is possible that the travel status may be heightened to a Watch or a Warning.

You can get the most up-to-date information about road conditions through the Indiana Department of Homeland Security’s County Travel Status page.
