For the 23rd year in a row, the Bremen Police Department will be participating in a benefit basketball game to help raise funds for a local family in need.
According to a press release from Bremen PD, the proceeds will go to a family who is facing financial struggles due to life-altering medical conditions.
The benefit game will be held on Friday, March 15th, with tip off at 7:30 p.m. in the Bremen Senior High School Boys’ Gym. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for pre-game events and festivities.
At the game, Bremen and Nappanee Police Officers will face-off against the Bremen high School/Northwood boys and girls senior players.
Contributions of any amount help the cause but for a minimum donation of $150 individuals or companies will be featured on the t-shirts that will be worn by the players. The first 300 people in attendance will also receive a shirt with the major donors on it.
Community members interested in assisting this local family can make checks payable to the Bremen Police Department, located at 123 S. Center Street. Monetary sponsorships must be received by March 1st.
In addition to gathering donations, the Bremen Police Department will spend the next several weeks collecting items for a silent auction. Those interested in donating an item for the auction must deliver to the police station prior to March 1st.
