A group of Plymouth High School students will be heading down to the state capital to compete in the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference this March.
The field trip request was approved by Plymouth School Board members when they accepted all personnel items at their meeting last Monday.
By providing approval, members permitted a group of 21 participants to travel to the Downtown Marriot Hotel in Indianapolis. The 3-day long event will run from Sunday, March 10th through Tuesday, March 13th.
During the course of the conference, students will participate in some competitive events and attend various leadership sessions.
PHS Business Education Teacher Gene Skirvin is listed as the trip sponsor. In anticipation for the conference, he noted that a substitute teacher will be needed for two days.
According to the request form that was submitted for board consideration, the educational objective of the trip will be to further students’ knowledge about business, leadership and other related skills.
