The Center at Donaldson recently received a Friend of Conservation Award after being nominated by the Marshall County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD).
According to a press release provided by the Marshall County SWCD, the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts honors a number of famers, county employees, educators and volunteers every year for their outstanding work in conservation throughout the state.
During an awards luncheon held earlier this month, several individuals and organizations received awards for their exceptional commitment to protecting Indiana’s natural resources and for the education and out reach done in their respective communities, regarding water quality and soil health.
The Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts Board President Roger Wenning extended his gratitude to the award recipients, stating that they are the cream of the crop in their conservation practices. He added that the award winners care about our state, natural resources, water quality and about leaving a legacy for generations to come.
