A fight at the Marshall County Jail ended with an inmate being taken to the hospital Friday afternoon. Sheriff Matt Hassel says the fight apparently started between two inmates and then a third joined in. Hassel says three jail officers were called to the area to stop the fight.
The jail nurse determined that one of the inmates had injuries that had to be treated at the hospital. He was reportedly taken to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Hassel says an incident will be sent to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for possible charges.
