The Culver Town Council approved a set of contracts with the Culver and Lake Maxinkuckee Visitor Center by a vote of three-to-one Tuesday. The agreements cover 2019, but also go back to 2017 and 2018.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim explained that council members had agreed to give the visitor center $14,000 this year and last year and $12,000 the year before that. But even though the contracts had been executed, Heim said they were never formally approved.
The town council approved the contracts for the three years, with Bill Cleavenger opposing. Rich West abstained from voting, since he’s also on the visitor center board.
