A report of a theft at the Plymouth Walmart led to the arrest of two South Bend men for numerous suspected offenses. Marshall County Police say that around 10:15 Friday night, they pulled over a car that they believed had been involved in the alleged theft.
Inside, police found two men who they say fit the description of the theft suspects, Leon Demetrius Burnett, 28, and Juwan Marquise Hamilton, 26. Officers also reportedly found a handgun, marijuana, and a phone that they believed was stolen.
Burnett also allegedly had a warrant for a parole violation and also faces charges of being a serious violent felon in possession of a handgun. Meanwhile, Hamilton is also accused of driving with a suspended license. They were both taken to the Marshall County Jail.
The Plymouth Police Department assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
