A Plymouth man was airlifted to South Bend Memorial hospital, following a two-car accident Thursday afternoon. Marshall County Police say it happened around 3:15 at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Plymouth Goshen Trail.
Officers believe John Bickel of Plymouth was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am north on Plymouth Goshen Trail, when he drove into the path of a 1999 Buick Century traveling west on U.S. 30. Bickel was flown to Memorial Hospital with possible head injuries. The driver of the Buick, Rhiley Shafer of Walkerton, was taken by family members to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for abrasions to her hand.
