The Bremen School Board accepted a generous donation to the band program when they met last Monday. Superintendent Dr. Jim White explained that a $3,000 donation was provided from the Bremen Band Boosters.
The board members were also expected to consider revision recommendations to the high school course and program guidebook for the 2019-2020 school year but they decided to table the matter.
Dr. White said that the high school principal is still doing some research so the recommendations weren’t quite ready for board consideration.
“Those are the recommendations for each year as to what course we offer our high school students.” He added, “There have been a lot of changes this year with the accountability models and the graduation pathways so we need a little bit more time than normal to chew through that.”
The high school course recommendations may be revisited when the board meets for their first meeting of the New Year on Monday, January 21st.
