Bourbon town council members adopted a trash service ordinance for 2019 when they met last Tuesday.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, town officials previously approved a multi-year contract with Republic Services that includes an incremental increase. Residents will see an additional 22 cent charge on their bills next year, with the fee going from $14.60 in 2018 to $14.82 in 2019.
That price covers the cost of trash pick up, as well as recycling pick up. Berger noted that just like this year, recycling will continue to be picked up every other week.
