The 2019 Salary Ordinance for the Town of Bourbon was adopted Tuesday night.
A two percent pay increase was included for all full-time employees, according to Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger. Berger added that the only other major change had to do with the Town’s insurance policy.
She explained that in the past, the Town was able to pay the entire cost for health insurance premiums. However, after seeing a 14 percent jump in the overall cost of insurance, employees who are on the Town’s health plan will now need to pay $20 for each payment the Town has to make. Berger mentioned that there are a total of 26 payments that will be required in 2019.
