Argos Town Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom recently presented Town Council members with a contract related to engineering services for some future Community Crossings roadwork.
When council members met last Wednesday, Superintendent Lindstrom brought up a contract with the engineering firm Abonmarche.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney, the contract authorizes the firm to assist with designs in Westview Court as well as on Woodland Trail.
Mullaney added that the document also states that the firm would provide their assistance during the bidding process for those projects and serve as the Town’s go-between with INDOT representatives.
Lindstrom told members that the cost for the services would be approximately $50,000 and requested permission to pay Abonmarche that amount for the services outlined in the contract.
Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney said that the permission was granted. She also noted that the money will likely come from either Motor Vehicle Highway (MVH) fund or the Local Roads and Streets fund.
Prior to this agreement, Abonmarche was utilized for a few other projects. In addition to designing the layout for the Colonial Estates subdivision, the company reps assisted town officials with the Community Crossings grant application this year, helping them secure a total of $926,970.24 during the most recent round.
