Administrator salary recommendations were up for approval when Bremen School Board members met last Monday. Superintendent Dr. Jim White said that in order to determine the recommendations, school officials used a similar methodology to what was utilized last year.
He explained, “We took the raise that the teachers received and then divided it out by their contract length which is 185 [days] so that gave a per day rate. Then I just multiplied what the teacher raise for per day pay rate was by the contact days for administrators because they have longer contracts.”
According to Dr. White, administrator contacts have an about 215 to 225 days included on them. He noted that the proposed raises ranged between 2.81 percent to 3.56 percent, depending on factors such as starting pay and the number of days worked.
The salary recommendations were approved unanimously by the board members.
