Bremen High School Principal Bruce Jennings has been named Indiana’s High School Principal of the Year. The honor came on Sunday during the Indiana Association of School Principals’ Fall Conference, according to Bremen Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jim White.
“It was kind of a special moment,” White says. “He’s got over 40 years experience with Bremen Schools. It’s unusual for someone to spend that much time at one place and still have gas in the tank. And I think he was just very taken and humbled by the award.” White says Jennings was picked as the state’s overall winner, after he was previously named principal of the year for District 2, one of the association’s 12 districts.
Also during Sunday’s event, former South Central Elementary School Principal Ben Anderson was recognized as the District 2 Elementary School Principal of the Year, according to South Central High School’s Facebook page. He now serves as principal at the high school.
