A record amount of Marshall County students and businesses will be participating in this year’s Manufacturer’s Day. In this annual event, local manufacturers open their doors to showcase their businesses and spark some interest in manufacturing careers.
The Marshall County Economic Development Corporation reports that with 4 schools, 900 students and nearly 25 businesses participating, students will be able to learn about an unprecedented variety of local employment opportunities. Students from Argos, Bremen, Culver and Plymouth will tour various local facilities this week on Wednesday and Thursday.
MCEDC officials say that in addition to this being an opportunity for businesses to connect to the next generation of employees, it introduces students to the quality local manufactures and the variety of high-skilled jobs available throughout Marshall County.
