The Bremen School Board authorized an appointment for the Bremen Public Library Board when members met on Monday.
After the school board’s previous appointment Don Harrison tendered his resignation, members were tasked with finding someone new to sit on the library board. School superintendent Dr. Jim White said the school board appointed Cynthia McKenzie.
Dr. White added that while she is retired now, McKenzie previously served as a high ability coordinator and literacy coach at Bremen Public Schools.
In addition to an appointment from the school board, the library board also consists of appointments made by the German Township Advisory Board, the Bremen Town Council, the Marshall County Council and Marshall County Commissioners.
According to Library representatives, the Library’s Board of Trustees consists of volunteers who bring professional expertise to determine and manage library policies and operations.
The Library Board holds a public meeting at 7 p.m. on the last Monday of each month in the library’s meeting room.
