Students and staff at Argos Elementary School are collecting sweet treats to donate to ‘Operation Gratitude.’
Now through Thursday, November 8th they’ll be collecting leftover Halloween candy. Once the collection ends, school officials will provide all the candy to Operation Gratitude and it will be included care packages that will be sent to veterans, first responders and military personnel and their families.
Representatives of Operation Gratitude report that they’ve been able to deliver more than 2.1 million care packages “filled with items donated by grateful Americans and service-friendly companies that want to express their support for the heroes serving overseas and here at home.”
