Marshall County Highway Supervisor Jason Peters announced that crews will be paving in the Oak Crest Subdivision starting today.
He said the Highway Department plans to start the paving for this project this year and then they’ll complete the rest of the work in 2019.
He asks motorists to avoid parking or sitting in the same spot on the new pavement for an extended amount of time since this material is a pug mix and needs some time to cure out. He explained that it will be a little soft so parking on it will leave marks.
Peters also said drivers should refrain from spinning their tires on the fresh material since that will cause it to peel up and leave a hole. If you have any questions, contact the Marshall County Highway Department at 574-936-2181.
