Planning and paying for college can be stressful but thanks to the Marshall County Promise Program, local parents don’t have to do it alone. The goal of the program is to encourage young students to consider higher education as a realistic option early on and to make it easier for families to establish college savings for their kids.
Triton Superintendent Jeremy Riffle issued a reminder that any parent with a student who is currently in kindergarten, first, second or third grade can enroll in the Promise Program at any Marshall County elementary school.
When parents sign their student up for a College Choice 529 Savings Account, their child is eligible to receive an initial $25 donation from the Marshall County Promise Program to get their college savings started. Riffle noted that this opportunity will run through October.
