Bourbon Town Council members considered a vehicle purchase request when they met last Tuesday.
According to notes from Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger, Wastewater Superintendent Steve Stacy asked the council for permission to purchase a new utility truck. He estimated that the cost would be approximately $50,000 in all.
The council voted unanimously to allow the purchase.
The Street superintendent shared an update with the council as well. Street Superintendent Roger Terry informed members that crews from Walsh and Kelly will start side walk construction and road work within the next few weeks.
