The City of Plymouth will host a musical and colorful spectacle tonight when the Parrots of the Caribbean perform live as a part of the Summer in the Park Concert series in River Park Square.

Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will start around 7:30 p.m. It will run until 9:30 and will be held rain or shine. Tickets are required and cost $10 for adults and youth gets in for free.

According to the band’s website, they put on a high energy, original “trop-rock” stage show that features a salute to Jimmy Buffett. Event organizers encourage everyone to dress up in their most vibrant tropical apparel to really get into the spirit of the show.

This show is geared toward concert-goers of all ages; from the die-hard fans who will sing along to every song, to the little ones who will have fun dancing to the catchy tunes and everyone in between.

There will be some seats available or you can bring your own blankets and chairs. Be sure to arrive early for the spots closest to the stage. Concessions will be available and outside coolers are permitted.

If you’re of legal drinking age, you can even bring your own adult beverages, as long as you indulge responsibly and have a designated driver arranged or another safe way to get home.

The event is being hosted by Encore Performing Arts in partnership with the Discover Plymouth Dine around Concert. The sponsors include the City of Plymouth, the Gibson Foundation, Plymouth Foundry, the Indiana Arts Commission and the Marshall County Community Foundation.
