Marchers from all across the country and even some from overseas will be visiting Plymouth High School tomorrow as a part of the Drum Corps International Hoosier Heartland Tour.
School officials and the Plymouth Band Boosters announced that the PHS Rockpile Stadium will serve as a site for this DCI Tour and the event will feature performances from bands from seven different states, as well as one group from Europe.
In a news release, PHS Band Director Bryan Ames shared that this event will host the drum and bugle corps teams who will be competing for the national championship next week. He also mentioned that two of the drum corps teams will be practicing at PHS today (7/30) and all rehearsals are open to the public.
Ames said this in an incredible opportunity for the school and band program to host so many well-known drums corps as they continue to compete for the world championship. He added that it is amazing they’ll be hosting the Jubal Drum Corps which is traveling all the way from the Netherlands to compete.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the contest will start at 7 p.m. There will be an intermission held around 8:20 and scores are scheduled to be announced at 9:35 p.m.
Tickets are required for entry. They will be available at the ticket box the day of the event or they can be purchased online. You can find the full schedule for Tuesday’s show below.
