Argos residents who live in Westview Court are encouraged to set aside some time tonight to attend an informational public hearing about a major drainage project planned in the subdivision. The meeting will be held at Argos Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.
Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney previously reported that the current drainage system in Westview Court is unsustainable, which is evident from the fact that there are consistent problems with flooding in the area.
In order to address the issue, Argos officials hired the firm Weasler Engineering to help them develop a more functional drainage system.
Clerk-Treasurer Mullaney said that tonight’s meeting is a chance for residents to learn more about what the firm intends to do, “That will be for all the citizens of Westview Court so that they can see the new drainage plan that the engineers have come up with.”
Mullaney added that Town Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom will be providing a presentation on the project and a representative from the engineering firm will also be in attendance.
