The Triton School Board members approved a few different quotes when they met for their monthly meeting Monday night.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle explained the school corporation will save some money on a John Deere utility tractor with a loader and bucket since they will be trading in their old tractor to the supplier, GreenMark Equipment.
The projected cost of the tractor, after applying the trade-in price, came in at $27,812.66. Riffle said turning in the existing tractor helped reduce the price significantly.
He explained, “So it’s a $48,000 tractor and our trade-in was something like $20,600 so that’s just the remaining balance.”
Another quote that members approved was for cabinetry and countertops for the High School home-ec classroom. The new furniture will be supplied by the Warsaw-based business Copper River Cabinet Company at a cost of $27, 866.64.
