Those running the recovery center David’s Courage are looking for volunteers to help them spruce up the yard around their building this weekend.
On Saturday, June 2nd from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. community members are invited to come lend a helping hand to assist with various tasks such as raking, mulching, weeding, trimming, cutting, garden planting and other yard work.
Water will be provided but there are a few items that officials suggest that you bring with you including gloves, rakes, shovels, shears, wheelbarrows and any additional yard tools that you think could help with the efforts.
In addition to those tools, they’re looking for a few individuals to bring chainsaws.
Also feel free to bring some chairs if you’d like somewhere to sit to take a break. If you plan to stay for the day, pack a picnic so you’ll have something to help you recharge!
No prior experience is needed and kids are welcome to tag along. Officials note that David’s Courage t-shirts will be given away throughout the day.
The David’s Courage facility is located at the former Shady Rest Home at 10924 Lincoln Highway in Plymouth. For more information, visit the organization’s Facebook Page.
