The first Bourbon Food Truck Friday of the year is here! Tonight’s event will be held in conjunction with the Bourbon Public Library’s Summer Kick-off Party to mark the start of the Summer Discovery Program.
The event is held in downtown Bourbon and it runs from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The Bourbon Fire Department is selling hamburger and fries to help raise funds for needed equipment and other supplies. There will also be a wide variety of vendors on site.
Handlers at Mark’s Ark will be presenting an animal showcase and there will be live music by the band StarHeat. Event-goers can also expect to find games, prizes, balloon animals and a bounce house.
Event officials said they are grateful for the wonderful partnerships that have helped make everything possible. On social media, they provided special thanks to Swanson’s Car and Trucks for sponsoring the bounce house, Anna Gilsinger for sponsoring the music and Leah Pitts Hartung and the staff of First Merchants Bank for allowing their grounds to be used for the event.
There will be five more Food Truck Friday events this year. Keep up to date with the latest information about the events on the Bourbon Food Truck Friday Facebook page. A map showing where particular vendors will be set up is provided below.
